galaxy dress ? more like fireworks ! DIY Time

Hello all :)

Sorry i haven't posted in a while, seems like even with a week off work, i don't have a spare minute! always the way..

So i have decided to jump in on the galaxy cosmic craze and brought myself a dip hem skirt ! (i think that's what it is called) As seen below! i love it, haven't had a chance to wear it as of yet but i look forward to it! I am going to pair it up with some wedged ankle boots, studded belt and a strapless black top!

What do you think?

Now i knew i would never be able to get a galaxy effect like the skirt myself but i did some research and got some directs on how to make a galaxy t-shirt from Gwen's blog This Fashion Is Mine. I don't really wear t-shirts i hunted for an alternative.  I followed the directions step by step and didn't adapt it myself so instead of posting the directs again on here when there are much clearer ones posted on her blog :)

Now i decided to use a black maxi dress i had laying around but haven't worn in a while. Now i filled my spray bottle (old spray in conditioner bottle) with baby bottle sterilizer and started spraying away. It is quite fun watching the dress change colour!

I actually found the dress didn't turn out exactly how i wanted it but as a first go i was happy! it looks more like fireworks. Maybe if i used a bit more bleach on the twisted patches of material it would of worked better ! Practice makes perfect though !

Here is my dress....

What do you think ? Honest opinions but be nice ;) ?

Going to add some more white fabric paint on to try make it a little better haha
